| عضوة خاملة | You can never English if you don't try using it first. Using English is the first step to mastering it. The mistakes you do at first aren't important. What's important is that you get talking and moving. After that, accuracy will come along easily. Talk English. Write English. Read English. Listen to English. And you'll master English. |

I hope i'm not interrupting you. yes every learner should practice the language. However he/she has to have something to really practice. there is a theory called Automatic Language Growth (ALG) by Dr. Marvin brown.the theory mainly says that a learner must listen instentive to the language he/she wants to learn for one yearand must not try to talk. it's a good idea to have a look at this article about ALG by Aj Hoge J Marvin Brown | Powerful English Lessons

I'm afraid I don't agree with that. As you might know, there are many theories that try to explain second language acquisition (sla). Some theories compare sla to first language acquisition while others believe they are completely different. There are all sorts of theories and explanations. I personally believe a learner can only learn a language by practicing it. Through practice, a learner can see what kind of language s/he needs and try to learn it. This is what I encourage my students to do, and almost all of them come out of this experience better speakers and users of English. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. All the best

| عضوة خاملة | Okay. Rather is an adverb. It can mean "to some (great or small) extent." Ex: She's rather nice. It can also be used to show preference. Ex: I’d rather go to school. (It means: I would prefer to go to school) Though can be used as an adverb to mean "however." It can also be used as a conjunction to show contrast, like although and despite. Ex: I don't like using though in my sentences. You might find it useful, though. Ex: Though I enjoy baking cakes, I don't like eating them. Did I answer your question? | |
