I am so glad for such idea
This is what I have searched for long time ago inspite of my weak langauge but I was looking forward to improving it espicially in Daw'a ( calling for Islam )
Now I must say ( Allhamdu le Allah ) for finding the best place where I can fulfill my desires.

I think the best way to help such people to overcome their depression Is to help them to understand and realize the beauty of Islam that make the belivers's hearts full of happiness , peace and hope .
We can tell them some stories of the compinions of our prophet - peace be upon him - and how were they tasting the goodness and beauty of faith inspite of what they met by the disblivers ! They ere deprived from many things , they were be punished , they were be slanted . However , they didn't use these stupid ways such as listening music , drinking alcohol and so on !!

I know I couldn't to express my ideas well but this is first try for me

I think the main cause in glumness is vacuum .

Great! This is a verse that we can definitly use to convince someone of returning to Allah as means of finding happiness. Do you have any other verses? Or maybe Hadiths?i

This is what I wanted to say
If man has no aims or goals in life , he , or she , will be like an animal or worse than animals!!
Muslims have the greatest aim that isgoing to paradise
so , their whole lives are to acheive this great aim.
When they put that in front of their eyes , they wouldn't find any free times to feel bored
Their times are full of good deeds whether some big and basic types of worship or some simple good deeds such as the rememberance of Allah , asking for his forgiveness, thinking of the wonderful universe , helping other people and so on
All these things will make the spirit full of happiness and confidense .

Surely, Allah create a people for big goal is worshipping him, but some they are forgotten that by shaytan, so we must remember thim to main goal in the life.
And a worshipping much kind don't just prayer and fasting! no, if you smile in face's other muslim this worshipping.
The olden just example, and you can recreate and worship in the same time, a prime you plan in your heart. If you doing that you will become busy and don't find time to vacuum

How do you think we can help someone out of this?

One of the ways that I’ve been thinking of is to let them share our activities there (in the western countries), to give them the opportunity to see our lives closer and to let them discuss with a new Muslims about there feelings and if there is any thing has been changed after being a Muslim?
Also we can tell them that we are happy and not depressed although we don't do what they are doing and this is can be accomplished by the first point which I mentioned earlier, to let them share with us our happiness in Eid for example and so on..

You are right, but can we tell them you are "like animals"? It would push them away, right?

But, what you proposed as things a person can do to fill his/her time is great. I tried with some people who were headed that way to ask them to try to help a person or two a day. Gradually, the joy they felt after helping someone was too good for them to let go. Then, I introduced another thing: Isghfar. I didn't tell them do that for the sake of Thekr only. Rather, I let them see that they would gain from it. Didn't Allah say in Surat Nooh: i
" فقلت استغفروا ربكم إنه كان غفارا (١٠) يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا (١١)
ويمددكم بأموال و بنين و يجعل لكم جنات و يجعل لكم أنهارا (١٢)"

"I said (to them): 'Ask forgiveness from your Lord; Verily,
He is Oft-Forgiving; (10) 'He will send rain to you in
abundance; (11) 'And give you increase in wealth and
children, and bestow on you gardens and bestow on you rivers.' " (12)i


In other words, I believe that people who are in such a life let's say, need not to be shown that they are wrong. They won't listen to you if you say that. Rather, try to show them that they can "be better". And, try to relate all the forms of Ibadaa to them as a way to gain Dunya benifit from. Don't you think so?i

True. Ibadaah can be as simple as smiling at someone. You just need to have the intention of actually doing that for the sake of pleasing Allah. i

Many non-Muslims don't know that. If only we introduce the idea that Islam perceives a smile to be a form of Ibadaa, they'll get a chance to see that Islam is not about "terror", at least a hint. What do you think?i

You got it right. When we push them out of the circle, they only see Islam the way their society sees it. Sharing our daily lives with them without saying a lot about "Islam" is enough for them to see how Islam is the religion of peace. For example, a lot of Americans (non-Muslims) were amazed by the number of Muslims who just stop everything, anything, to go together and "sing" five times a day. Many asked to enter the Masjid and see the singer "live".i

The problem, I believe, is that we see them as "evil minds" planning to conquer our lands and minds. They see us as "terrorists" acting like beasts. And, we just don't live together. Nothing can be accomplished if such misconceptions stop us from interacting and living peacefully. Don't you think so?i

Okay. Here comes another E-mail. You're watching The Mail Box. I'm Yusuf Estes. I got a couple of questions here today. It says:
"Do all muslims have to wear Hijab?"
Do all muslims have to wear Hijab? No, not the boys. Boys don't look good in Hijab(smiling) .. but to be specific the mature girls when they go out in public, and people can see them, it is required, in Islam, for them to be covered up.
The covering is described in the Quran in two places very clearly. It's described many places in the teachings of Mohammad (peace and blessing be upon him).
Understand this that the Hijab is a covering to protect you. It's something that's required in Islam. So, the protection of two things: something could happen to you in this world, and something can happen to you in the next world as well.
So, you wanna obey Allah and obey the messenger and wear Hijab; a proper Hijab, not this new invented stuff where you put a little scarf on your head, and dance around with stuff that look like a bathing suit with long legs in it. But, for sure, it is required in Islam for the sisters, the mature sisters, when they go out in public, to protect themselves and wear outter garments and cover their hair and so on.
Let us, now, look at these questions coming in now. They are coming in faster than we can answer them here. Okay. Alright.
"What about the Day of Judgement? Is everybody gonna be there?"
We talked about this in some of our other programs, but to give you an idea about the Day of Judgement. This is gonna be a very hot day. The sun will be brought close over our heads. We'll be standing in our perspiration, and only, only those who have really believed and done good works will have a break on that day. They will be in the shade of Allah, where there is no other shade but what Allah provides for us. So, we'll be all looking for that.
Another thing, the Day of Judgement is a long day, not like any day we know on earth. And all of us are gonna be there for that. So, be aware of it, and take care about it. In fact, the word "taqwa" in Arabic is talking about this day as well, that we need to protect ourselves and put a partition between us and Allah's anger on the Day of Judgement because there will be a lot of that going on there, a lot of heavy heavy stuff.

I can't agree more. People now respect most those who have degrees, who are good at what they do. I know very few people who seek Da'wah through being a good Muslim, rather than just saying. It tells a lot about Islam when we do our best in our profession, and relate that to Islam and consider it a way to worship Allah. i

I wear my Hijab because I have the freedom to decide how gets to see me and who doesn't. I have the chance to be treated based on who I am, not based on how I look like.i
